Blade Material Types
Bi-M (Bi-Metal) - Combining the flexibility of a HCS body with a HSS hardened cutting edge, resulting in a tough, shatter resistant blade. Longer service life leads to greater cost effectiveness per blade.
HCS (High Carbon Steel) - High Carbon Steel Blades for use with softer materials, such as hard and soft wood, plastics and laminated boards.
HSS (High Speed Steel) - Hardened steel designed to cut hard materials such as mild steel, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals
Cut Type
Straight - Standard blade type, comes in a variety of teeth types and blade lengths. Perfect for all general purpose applications.
Down - Reversed teeth to cut on the down-stroke. This prevents the splintering of decorative surfaces such as kitchen worktops.
Curve - These blades have a reduced blade depth to allow them to perform curved cuts.
Precision - These blades are made from a thicker plate to help achieve a 90⁰ cut. It also makes this blade ideal for hardwood.
Teeth Type
MSS - Milled & Side Set - Rough/Coarse Cut - Basic tooth pattern used on the entry level blades. A quick but fairly rough cut.
MWS - Milled & Wavy Set- Fine/Medium Cut - This pattern is used to give a fine, straight cut.
SSS - Side Set & Sharpened - Fast/Medium Cut - This configuration gives a fast, medium cut.
GTG - Ground/Taper Ground - Clean/Quick Cut - These top quality blades give a clean, quick cut in both wood and plastic.
